Consistently recognized among the Top Dermatologists and Mohs Surgeons in Virginia by Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine, Dr. Bajoghli brings decades of clinical expertise, surgical excellence, and heartfelt patient care to his work.With more than 25 years of experience, he is a leader in skin cancer treatment, cosmetic dermatology, and advanced laser surgery. Dr. Bajoghli served as Chief of Dermatology at Fairfax Hospital for nine years and previously led as Director of Mohs Micrographic Surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine. He currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he is actively involved in the training and mentorship of future dermatologists.A native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Bajoghli received his undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed a full Internal Medicine residency at Boston City Hospital through the Boston University Combined Program before becoming board certified in Internal Medicine. He went on to complete his dermatology residency at the Tufts University/Boston University Combined Dermatology Program and received fellowship training in Mohs surgery at Boston University, where he also served on the faculty.Widely regarded as a “doctor’s doctor,” Dr. Bajoghli is trusted by physicians and patients alike, providing individualized care to a broad range of patients from the local community and abroad.In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Bajoghli is deeply committed to mentorship and education. For over a decade, he has led a competitive Gap Year Clinical Assistant Program, mentoring future physicians through hands-on clinical training. Many of the program’s alumni have gone on to become successful physicians across a variety of specialties or are currently enrolled in top medical and PA schools. His dedication to teaching extends beyond the classroom, shaping the next generation of healthcare leaders through real-world clinical experience.He has served as President of the Medical Society of Northern Virginia, advocating for physicians across specialties and advancing healthcare policy at the regional level.When not in the clinic or classroom, Dr. Bajoghli enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, training for Ironman triathlons, and playing tennis. He enjoys learning and has a passion for Jeopardy, aspiring to compete one day!
